Chopper pilot, animal expert and owner of Outback Floatplane Adventures, Matt Wright has spent his life in the great outdoors drawn to creatures most of us would run away from. Raised in the wilds of Papua New Guinea and the Australian outback, Matt quickly became comfortable with wildlife, including deadly snakes, spiders and sharks, at a young age.
It is no surprise then that today Matt is best known for his efforts in wildlife relocation. He is on a mission to preserve wildlife by removing and relocating problem animals, and specialises in tracking down a diverse range of dangerous animals, including crocodiles and wild buffalo.
You’ll find Matt down at Sweets Lagoon, introducing guests to the ultimate outback adventure, or in his rugged habitat as the host of the new Nat Geo Wild series, Outback Wrangler. Joined by his long time mates, John ‘Johno’ Brown and Chris ‘Wilo’ Wilson, the action never stops as they relocate dozens of crocodiles with big machinery, helicopters and airboats.
For a taste of what to expect on The Ultimate Tour, be sure to catch Matt’s new series on Nat Geo Wild, airing Tuesday 17 November at 8:30pm.
